Weeknight Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry

A classic Chinese-style stir fry made with tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and savory sauce served over white rice.

Ingredients

1 pound chicken breast, thinly sliced
3 cups broccoli florets
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Cooked white rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook rice and keep warm.
  2. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, and cornstarch.
  3. Stir fry chicken in hot oil until cooked; remove.
  4. Stir fry garlic and ginger briefly.
  5. Add broccoli and cook until tender-crisp.
  6. Return chicken, add sauce, and cook until thickened.
  7. Serve over white rice.

Notes

Add extra vegetables or adjust sauce to taste.
