Bold and fresh Thai Basil Beef Rolls made with savory ground beef, Thai herbs, and crisp vegetables. Perfect for lettuce wraps or rice paper rolls.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 tbsp oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 red chilies, sliced (or to taste)
1 shallot, finely diced
1 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp coconut aminos or soy sauce
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 cup Thai basil leaves
Butter lettuce or romaine leaves
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cucumber, julienned
Fresh mint or cilantro (optional)
Rice paper wrappers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in skillet. Sauté garlic, shallot, and chilies for 1 minute.
  2. Add ground beef. Cook 5–7 minutes, breaking apart until browned.
  3. Stir in fish sauce, coconut aminos, and lime juice.
  4. Add Thai basil. Cook 1–2 minutes until wilted.
  5. Prepare lettuce or rice paper wraps.
  6. Fill each wrap with beef, carrots, cucumber, and herbs.
  7. Serve with optional dipping sauce.

Notes

Use lettuce for low-carb version. Prep beef ahead for quick meals. Add chili oil or lime for more punch.
