Sticky beef noodles made with tender strips of beef, glossy sweet-savory sauce, and chewy noodles—all done in 30 minutes for the ultimate takeout-style meal at home.

Ingredients

1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp cornstarch
8 oz noodles (lo mein, udon, or rice noodles)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp water
1 tsp sriracha or chili flakes (optional)
1 tbsp oil for cooking
Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Toss beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Let sit 10 min.
  2. Cook noodles according to package. Drain and set aside.
  3. Mix garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, vinegar, water, and chili.
  4. Sear beef in hot skillet 1–2 min per side. Remove from pan.
  5. Stir-fry veggies (if using), then add noodles, beef, and sauce.
  6. Toss until sauce is thick and sticky.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

Slice beef thinly against the grain. Cook sauce down for max stickiness. Use any veggies you like.
