One-Pan Steak Bites Tortellini – Rich & Comforting

This one-pan cowboy butter tortellini steak bites recipe combines juicy seared steak, tender cheese tortellini, and a garlicky cowboy butter sauce with herbs, lemon, and a touch of heat—ready in under 40 minutes.

Ingredients

1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 package (10–12 oz) cheese tortellini
1 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp red pepper flakes
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of ½ lemon
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp fresh parsley or chives, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini per package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Pat steak dry, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in skillet. Sear steak 2–3 mins per side. Remove.
  4. In same pan, melt butter. Add garlic and cook 30 secs.
  5. Stir in mustard, paprika, red pepper, lemon zest and juice. Simmer 1–2 mins.
  6. Add tortellini and steak back in. Toss to coat and heat through.
  7. Garnish with herbs. Serve hot.

Notes

Use chicken or shrimp as a swap for steak. Add spinach or cherry tomatoes for a veggie boost. Adjust spice to taste.
