One-Pan Creamy Ground Beef and Potatoes (30-Min Dinner)

This creamy one-skillet meat and potato dinner comes together in 30 minutes with ground beef, tender potatoes, and a rich garlic herb sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights and family meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, turkey, or pork
  • lbs Yukon Gold or red potatoes, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or thyme
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: ½ cup shredded cheese, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Brown ground meat in skillet with oil, salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic in same pan.
  3. Add potatoes and broth. Cover and steam 8–10 minutes.
  4. Stir in cream, seasonings, and return meat. Add cheese if using.
  5. Simmer uncovered 4–5 minutes until creamy and heated through.
  6. Serve warm with herbs or extra cheese on top.

Notes

Swap meat or dairy as needed. Add veggies for more volume. Keeps well in the fridge for up to 4 days.
