A golden, crispy sandwich loaded with savory seasoned ground beef and melty cheese — the ultimate comfort food made in one pan and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices thick white or sourdough bread
  • 4 slices cheese (cheddar, American, mozzarella, or mix)
  • 2 tbsp butter or mayo for toasting
  • Optional: pickles, hot sauce, tomato slices

Instructions

  1. Cook beef with onion and garlic. Stir in Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice. On the unbuttered side, layer cheese, beef mixture, and more cheese. Top with second slice, buttered side out.
  3. Toast in skillet over medium-low heat for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and melty.
  4. Let cool briefly, slice, and serve hot.
