2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes, fresh herbs
