A classic comfort dish with crispy breaded chicken, savory ham, melted Swiss cheese, and creamy honey mustard sauce. Easy to make and perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 4 cutlets)
4 slices deli ham
4 slices Swiss cheese
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
1/4 cup neutral oil (for frying) or spray oil (for baking)
Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste

Honey Mustard Sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Slice and season chicken cutlets.
  3. Dredge in flour, egg, then breadcrumbs.
  4. Pan-fry until golden, or bake 20–25 min flipping once.
  5. Top each cutlet with ham and cheese. Return to oven until melted.
  6. Whisk sauce ingredients.
  7. Serve hot with sauce on the side or drizzled over top.

Notes

Use turkey or pork for variation. Make gluten-free with GF flour and crumbs. Lighten with baked version and Greek yogurt in the sauce.
