This Easy Honey Sesame Chicken is a crispy, sticky, better-than-takeout dish made at home in just 30 minutes. Coated in a sweet garlic sesame sauce, it’s perfect for meal prep, weeknight dinners, or family meals.
1½ lbs chicken breast, cubed
⅓ cup cornstarch
2 eggs, beaten
Salt & pepper
Oil for pan-frying
Sauce:
⅓ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce (or tamari)
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Coat chicken in egg, then cornstarch.
Pan-fry in oil until crispy, 3–4 mins per side.
Mix sauce ingredients and simmer in pan.
Add cornstarch slurry and thicken sauce.
Return chicken to skillet and coat in sauce.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and serve hot.
Use tamari for gluten-free version
Add veggies like broccoli or bell peppers
Serve over rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice
Store leftovers up to 4 days
