This Easy Honey Sesame Chicken is a crispy, sticky, better-than-takeout dish made at home in just 30 minutes. Coated in a sweet garlic sesame sauce, it’s perfect for meal prep, weeknight dinners, or family meals.

Ingredients

  • lbs chicken breast, cubed

  • ⅓ cup cornstarch

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • Salt & pepper

  • Oil for pan-frying

Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce (or tamari)

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Coat chicken in egg, then cornstarch.

  • Pan-fry in oil until crispy, 3–4 mins per side.

  • Mix sauce ingredients and simmer in pan.

  • Add cornstarch slurry and thicken sauce.

  • Return chicken to skillet and coat in sauce.

  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use tamari for gluten-free version

  • Add veggies like broccoli or bell peppers

  • Serve over rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice

  • Store leftovers up to 4 days
