Juicy chicken breasts in a rich garlic cream sauce made in one skillet. Ready in under 30 minutes for an easy, comforting dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, halved into cutlets
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided
  • 56 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (optional)
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté 1 minute.
  4. Add chicken broth, scraping up brown bits. Simmer 1–2 minutes.
  5. Stir in cream, Parmesan (if using), and simmer 3–5 minutes until thickened. Season to taste.
  6. Return chicken to skillet. Spoon sauce over top and simmer 2–3 minutes more.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
  • Sauce thickens as it sits — add a splash of broth to loosen if needed.
