Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinade)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (for marinade)
  • ½ tsp sesame oil

Sauce:

  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ⅓ cup beef broth or water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced

Other:

  • 23 cups broccoli florets
  • 12 tbsp oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Toss sliced beef with marinade (soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil). Let rest 10–15 minutes.
  2. Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 1 minute, then drain and rinse under cold water.
  3. Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high. Sear beef in batches, 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, stir-fry broccoli for 1–2 minutes. Pour in sauce, stir to thicken.
  6. Return beef to pan, toss everything together, and cook 1–2 minutes more. Serve hot.

Notes

Serve with rice, noodles, or low-carb options. Add chili flakes for heat or more vegetables to stretch the dish.
