1 lb ground beef
½ cup diced onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
2–3 tbsp taco seasoning
2 tbsp tomato paste or salsa
¼ cup water or broth
10–12 crunchy taco shells
1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Jack, or blend)
Cooking spray or oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a skillet, sauté onion until soft. Add beef and cook until browned.
Stir in garlic, taco seasoning, tomato paste, and water. Simmer 3–5 minutes.
Arrange taco shells in a baking dish. Fill with beef, then top with cheese.
Lightly spray taco shells with oil. Bake 10–12 minutes until crispy and golden.
Remove from oven, add toppings, and serve warm.
Notes
Use ground turkey or vegetarian crumbles if desired.
Top with sour cream, avocado, or hot sauce after baking.
