A creamy, cheesy pasta dish with tender shells, savory ground beef, and a rich tomato-cream sauce. Pure comfort food ready in 35 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

12 oz medium pasta shells
1 lb ground beef
1 tbsp butter or olive oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp tomato paste (or ½ cup crushed tomatoes)
½ cup beef broth
¾ cup heavy cream or half-and-half
1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat butter. Sauté onion 4–5 mins, add garlic and cook 30 sec.
  3. Add beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, cook 2 mins. Add broth and simmer 3–5 mins.
  5. Lower heat. Stir in cream and cheese. Mix until smooth.
  6. Add pasta and toss to coat. Adjust seasoning.
  7. Serve hot with parsley garnish.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese. Add pasta water if sauce thickens too much. Customize with veggies or spice.
