Crispy golden tacos filled with seasoned ground beef and melty cheese, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, and all your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • ¼ cup water
  • 810 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • Oil, for frying
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa, avocado, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in skillet. Drain fat. Add seasoning, tomato paste, and water. Simmer 4 minutes.
  2. Warm tortillas until pliable. Fill one half with beef and cheese. Fold to close.
  3. Heat oil in skillet. Fry tacos 2 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Alternatively, brush with oil and bake at 425°F for 10–12 mins, flipping halfway.
  5. Open and add toppings. Serve immediately.

Notes

Warm tortillas before filling to prevent cracking. Bake or air fry for a lighter version. Store filling separately for easier meal prep.
