Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef (85–90% lean)
34 cups broccoli florets
1 tbsp oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce or hoisin
1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water
Optional: 1 tsp sesame oil, green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Whisk soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and water in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in skillet. Sauté broccoli 4–5 mins. Remove and set aside.
  3. Brown ground beef 6–7 mins. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook 1 min.
  5. Add broccoli back and pour in sauce. Cook 2–3 mins until thickened.
  6. Drizzle with sesame oil. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Use ground turkey or chicken if desired. Frozen broccoli works too. Add chili flakes for heat.
